Working as EPC-Sub Contractors Engineering representative and Civil Engineer, logistics coordinator in responsibility at Bibiyana-III 400 MW Combine Cycle Power Plant Development Project where EPC Contractor Marubeni Corporation Japan and EPC Sub Contractor Larsen and Toubro Limited (India) for client Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB) which funded by JBIC & BTMU. As this is a power plant project My main responsibilities are to Coordinate all technical issues related to construction and quality control with different type of QA/QC tests like Compaction test (MDD), Slum Test, Compressive strength Test of concrete, etc at the project in consultation with the Project Manager (PM), Conduct meeting and maintain Liaison with Consultants, Govt. officials and other construction partners / stake holders, provide support to the sub-contractors with the project team, Prepare progress report for Management in consultation with the PM, oversee project during construction stage and coordinate with all
Stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of all project activities. Coordinate with SCM department for meeting up the purchase requirements on time. Work closely with the Sub-contractors and suppliers to carry out projects successfully. Preparing, checking and Authenticate Estimate, rate analysis and BOQ of various buildings and structures of the project. Ensuring proper safety and security measures and keeping the project highly organized, clean and hygienic. My other responsibilities are organize / assist site construction related issues, all the office documentation work, review, monitoring & approval of all civil, electrical, I&C, mechanical, structural & architectural work design documents on behalf of the Contractor, coordinate all civil, structural & architectural engineering issues with consultants from NOFEAR and MEPC-JV Dhaka office as well as coordinate with BPDB Inspection & Design- 3. Attained in the weekly / fortnight review Meetings with client and Consultants to monitor the progress of the project. Attain in the QA/QC testing inspection in different testing laboratories i.e. BUET, BSTI, etc., review, monitoring & approval of all civil related tests part of Quality control. (NWPGCL) which funded by JICA. As this is an power plant project my responsibilities are organize all the office documentation work, review, monitoring & approval of all civil, structural & architectural work on behalf of the Contractor, coordinate all civil, structural & architectural engineering issues with consultant from TEPSCO and Fichtner JV Dhaka office. Working as Consultant (Haripur-JV) Site Engineer Civil and Office Engineer in responsibility at New Haripur 412 MW Combine Cycle Power Plant Development Project where EPC Contractor Marubeni Corporation and EPC Sub Contractor HYUNDAI Engineering & Construction for client Electricity Generation Company of Bangladesh (EGCB) which funded by JICA.
As this is an power plant project my responsibilities are organize all the office documentation work, attain in the QA/QC inspection, review, monitoring & approval of all civil, structural & architectural work on behalf of the Owner, coordinate all civil, structural & architectural engineering issues with consultant from S&L USA Home office and quality control during the time of construction work with different tests as directed in the technical specification. Supervision during the Cast in situ piling works which was 855 nos 600mm dia and Different Building Foundation works, Structural works, Finishing Works and Piping line work (i.e. Substation Building, Central Control Electrical Building, Administration Building, Work Shop Building, Cooling Tower, Water Treatment Building, Waste Water Treatment Pond, Thickener & Clarifier, Water Intake, Gas Turbine Building, Stream Turbine Building, Gas Turbine Building, Fuel Gas Compressor Shelter, Different Transformer Foundations etc.). Supervision of Steel Structural erection work of GTB, STB, FGCS & Pipe Rack which accumulated about 2,000 ton.
Also there to assist Soil improvement works by CGS and Sheet piling works for construction of permanent jetty, shore line protection works. Review & approval of field changes made in As-Built civil, structural & architectural drawings.
Coordinate with Client & Contractor Engineers, Supervisors, Planners and Surveyors in the project. Prepare all kind of Documentation works and daily activities report for site updates to the Team Leader. Progress calculation during the time of invoice etc. In this project conduct WASH, HSE safety and fire safety audits for compliance with this specification and also in other related safety areas at any time during the progress of the work with or without notice to the Contractor.
Supervise and inspect all equipment�s and buildings installed fire safety comply with NFPA rules and recommendations and also with Government of Bangladesh rules and guidelines and international regulations where applicable. To provide the Contractor certification of compliance with the NFPA regulations and also Government of Bangladesh agency/agencies as and when required. Coordinate with Local regulations adhered to and the Contractors obtained system approval from the local fire authority.
